Innovation Dialog

What if new products or promising innovations could talk? What will the car in 2020 say to the Highway, or what dialog will be going on between a phone and a camera? Perhaps you will hear things you never expected to hear, or even worse, that you never wanted to hear. Within Ten Years offers, in close cooperation with The Creative Impulse, the Innovation Dialog. Play with someone, or even alone, this new game... and make your own dialogs of new products or innovations or even new thoughts. And when you finished a dialog, the results can be mailed to you.

Headset

In SL normal chat doesn't pass the barrier of 20m. For classrooms and events in Within Ten Years this can be an irritating issue for the interaction between the audience and performers.
The WTY-HUD is now expanded with a headset functionality with which the audience and the performers can interact with eachother whereever they are in the sim. It even has a private channel so only the active headsets can hear what you say.

Workshops

Layout

When the Education & Innovation Island Within Ten Years is finished it will consist of seven parts:
Main building: Education & Innovation Games, and Meet & Greet Places;
Educate: Theatre for trying out new Education methods;
Innovate: Workshop-environment;
Visions: Futures Contest & Trends;
Stack: Explore a collection of Tools & Technology;
Sandbox: Build your own Education and/or Innovation concepts;
Exhibit: Show your own concepts to the world.

Work in progress

Just to proudly show you some work in progress at the new WTY-sim look at the picture below this text. It's the forest-theatre of the Educate-part of WTY. Students and teachers can try out here new educational methods. Hope you will like it :-)

Gebouw

Het hoofdgebouw in Within Ten Years is nu beschikbaar om te gebruiken. Neem een kijkje om te zien hoe er hard wordt gewerkt aan het inrichten van het Educatie- & Innovatie-eiland. Klik hier om een kijkje te nemen.

Open

Open is een van de belangrijke kenmerken van het nieuwe eiland. Open in verschillende betekenissen. Open voor iedereen en ook in de betekenis van Open Innovatie, Open Educatie en Open Content. Kortom, Open om alle geïnteresseerden met elkaar via Within Ten Years te verbinden op de thema's Educatie en Innovatie (in het toekomstige internet). Daarnaast zijn in Within Ten Years "maatschappelijk" en "duurzaam" eveneens belangrijke thema's.

Vandaar dat in de bouw van het nieuwe eiland zowel het open karakter als het groene, natuurlijke zichtbaar wordt.

Markant

Het nieuwe eiland krijgt een centraal en heel markant ontmoetingscentrum. Het hoge, maar zeer open gebouw is tevens een oriëntatiepunt om naar en van alle toepassingsgebieden te komen.
