My Teleport

The HUD has been updated with new functionality. From now on you can add your own favorite places to teleport to into the HUD. Go to the Main Building of Within Ten Years and get your free copy. You will also get a notecard with it. Edit the notecard with your own teleport locations and drag & drop the notecard onto the HUD. That's all. Click the HUD and choose My Teleport to select one of your favorite places. In case it doesnt work at once, click the HUD, select Tools and Reset.

Library

At the Wharf of Within Ten Years there has been built a Library. But... Within Ten Years would not be Within Ten Years if it wouldn't be a very innovative Library.
At the Library you can't find cupboard full of books. Instead of this, Within Ten Years has chosen for an approach that fits in the whole concept. The Library has been shaped like a "Tree of Knowledge". You will not find any book, but apples. Apples of knowledge. Racks of apples hang in the tree. Climb the apple boxes to walk around the tree.
It will take a couple of days to tweak the latest visuals and scripts. And a lot more time to fill the apples with information, so help us with this.

PictureStory

Write you own story with exactly five pictures and five short texts. That's what you can do with the new educational and innovation tool at Within Ten Years. Make a story of an innovation or an educational subject, add your text in a historical or future perspective.
The PictureStory can be found at the second floor of the Main Building.

Why and how should we collaborate?

Co-Compass, the collaboration game for innovation workshops is ready for usage. Only a little visual work on four buttons has to be done. Then it will be transferred to Arena 1 of the Innovate Sector of Within Ten Years.

Co-Compass

First steps are made in developing a new tool: Co-Compass. It supports employees in how to make steps in collaboration. Starting with the reasons why their organizations (or departments) they work their way upto the actions they should do to collaborate.
The rules of the tool and the visuals (thank you Half Short) are already done. The "only" thing to be done is the scripting :-)

Organizations

The Innovation Dialogue Game has been copied and changed into an Organization Dialogue Game. The way you play it, is the same as the Innovation Dialogue, but now the players take the role of an organization in stead of an innovation.

You can find the Organization Dialogue at Arena2 in the Innovate sector.

Claim

Now you can claim an exhibit room at the museum, located at the Wharf. You can exhibit your own educational and/or innovation concepts for free for one month. There are four exhibit rooms to claim: red room, blue room, yellow room and green room.

Ready!

Within Ten Years is ready to be used. After exactly one month of hard work (almost day and night) the Education and Innovation Center at Second Life is there. A special thanks to designer Half Short is more than at its place.
Within Ten Years consists of six sectors:
* Main Building: Education & Innovation Games and a Meet & Greet floor.
* Educate: Open Air Theatre for virtual classes.
* Innovate: Five arenas for workshops.
* Stack: Nine platforms for examples of working methods you can use in Education and Innovation.
* Visions: Four Futures Contest (with several contributions already), and information about Trends.
* Wharf: Sandbox and Museum with four exhibit rooms, for Educational concepts.

Exhibit

The Sandbox and Exhibit are on their way. Apart from the main building, and the four large parts of Within Ten Years (Educate, Innovate, Stack and Visions) there will be a separate Sandbox and Exhibit for members to build and show their own visualizations. The Exhibit will consist of four exhibit rooms. Every room will get their own special spots to show their effort of new concepts in Education and Innovation. Those special spots are supplied with an intelligent socle application. Touching a spot will provide the exhibitant with a menu to choose a socle with or without a presentation frame.

Innovation Dialog

What if new products or promising innovations could talk? What will the car in 2020 say to the Highway, or what dialog will be going on between a phone and a camera? Perhaps you will hear things you never expected to hear, or even worse, that you never wanted to hear. Within Ten Years offers, in close cooperation with The Creative Impulse, the Innovation Dialog. Play with someone, or even alone, this new game... and make your own dialogs of new products or innovations or even new thoughts. And when you finished a dialog, the results can be mailed to you.
